# HydroCore Restoration Warranty Built to Last with a Limited Lifetime Warranty, Backed by Accountability. At HydroCore Restoration, we believe our responsibility does not end when the job is complete. Our goal is to provide restoration, waterproofing, remediation, crawl space, drainage, and structural solutions that are completed correctly, documented clearly, and supported after completion. Because every property, damage condition, scope of work, and repair is different, **warranty coverage may vary by project and by homeowner**. Certain customers may receive warranties that are unique to their home, property, installation, repair method, materials, or contracted scope of work. Any project-specific warranty will be identified in the homeowner's estimate, service agreement, warranty certificate, project completion documents, or other written agreement provided by HydroCore Restoration. **The written warranty issued for your individual project controls over general website information.** --- # OUR WARRANTY PHILOSOPHY HydroCore Restoration stands behind the workmanship we perform within the scope of our written agreement. When warranty coverage applies, our responsibility is generally limited to evaluating and correcting a verified failure of HydroCore's covered workmanship or covered installation. A warranty does not mean that a home or building will never experience another water, moisture, mold, drainage, structural, mechanical, plumbing, environmental, or maintenance-related problem. Homes are complex systems. Conditions outside HydroCore's control can change after our work is completed. For that reason, warranty coverage applies only to the specific work, materials, systems, and conditions identified in the customer's written warranty documents. --- # PROJECT-SPECIFIC WARRANTIES Not every HydroCore project receives the same warranty. Warranty terms may depend on: * Type of service performed * Materials installed * Manufacturer warranty requirements * Existing condition of the structure * Accessibility of the affected area * Extent of previous damage * Drainage conditions * Groundwater conditions * Foundation condition * Structural condition * Plumbing condition * HVAC and ventilation conditions * Electrical service * Sump pump configuration * Dehumidification requirements * Crawl space or basement conditions * Maintenance requirements * Homeowner-selected options * Manufacturer limitations * Scope of contracted work Some homeowners may receive **extended, limited, transferable, system-specific, manufacturer-backed, workmanship, or customized warranties** when specifically included in their written agreement. No warranty should be assumed based solely on another customer's project. --- # YOUR WRITTEN WARRANTY CONTROLS The specific warranty included with your project will identify, when applicable: * What work is covered * What materials are covered * Length of coverage * Start date of coverage * Required inspections * Required maintenance * Homeowner responsibilities * Manufacturer requirements * Transferability, if any * Exclusions * Limitations * Claim procedures * Conditions that may void or suspend coverage Any verbal representation regarding warranty coverage must be included in writing to become part of the warranty. --- # ANNUAL WARRANTY INSPECTION For qualifying HydroCore warranty programs, HydroCore may provide a **complimentary annual visual inspection** of the covered system or work. The purpose of the inspection is to identify visible conditions that could affect performance and give the homeowner an opportunity to correct maintenance issues before they result in larger problems. When annual inspections are required under the homeowner's warranty, the homeowner must make the property reasonably accessible and participate in the required inspection program to maintain warranty eligibility. Failure to schedule or permit required inspections may affect warranty coverage. HydroCore may document inspections using photographs, written notes, moisture readings, equipment observations, or other appropriate documentation. --- # WHAT THE COMPLIMENTARY ANNUAL INSPECTION MAY INCLUDE Depending on the system installed, HydroCore may visually inspect: * Accessible crawl space areas * Accessible basement waterproofing components * Vapor barrier condition * Visible seams and attachment points * Drainage components installed by HydroCore * Accessible discharge lines * Sump pump operation * Backup pump systems, when installed by HydroCore * Dehumidifier operation * Visible humidity or moisture conditions * Accessible structural repairs performed by HydroCore * Visible mold or microbial concerns * Signs of new water intrusion * Signs of pest activity * Obvious plumbing leaks * Drainage changes around the structure * Changes that may affect the previously completed work The annual inspection is intended as a **visual maintenance and warranty inspection**. It is not a full home inspection, engineering inspection, plumbing inspection, electrical inspection, environmental assessment, pest inspection, roofing inspection, HVAC inspection, foundation engineering evaluation, or code inspection unless specifically contracted separately. --- # WHAT THE FREE ANNUAL INSPECTION DOES NOT INCLUDE The complimentary inspection does not normally include: * Routine homeowner maintenance * Cleaning * Replacement filters * Dehumidifier servicing * Pump replacement * Battery replacement * Plumbing repair * Electrical repair * HVAC repair * Pest treatment * Termite treatment * Foundation repair unrelated to HydroCore's work * Landscaping * Gutter cleaning * Downspout maintenance * Drain cleaning * Sewer repair * Excavation * Removing walls, flooring, insulation, cabinetry, or other finishes for inspection * Mold testing or laboratory analysis * Air-quality testing * Structural engineering * Camera inspections * Emergency service * Repairs caused by outside damage * Repairs unrelated to HydroCore's original scope * Maintenance materials or replacement parts If additional work is recommended during an annual inspection, HydroCore may provide a separate quote. --- # HOMEOWNER MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES A warranty does not replace normal property maintenance. Homeowners are responsible for maintaining their property in a manner that allows the installed system or repair to function correctly. Depending upon the property, this may include: * Keeping gutters clean * Keeping downspouts connected * Directing roof water away from the foundation * Maintaining positive exterior drainage * Preventing soil or mulch from being built up against the structure * Keeping exterior drains clear * Maintaining plumbing * Repairing leaking pipes, fixtures, appliances, or water heaters * Maintaining HVAC systems * Maintaining appropriate indoor humidity * Maintaining dehumidifiers * Cleaning or replacing filters * Maintaining sump pumps * Maintaining backup batteries * Keeping pump discharge lines clear * Maintaining electrical service * Maintaining generators or backup power systems * Addressing pest or termite activity * Preventing rodents or animals from damaging installed materials * Maintaining roofing, siding, windows, doors, flashing, and exterior penetrations * Monitoring the property for new leaks or damage * Promptly notifying HydroCore of suspected warranty-related concerns Failure to perform reasonable maintenance may result in warranty limitations when that failure caused or contributed to the problem. --- # SUMP PUMPS, DEHUMIDIFIERS & MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT Mechanical equipment can fail for reasons unrelated to installation workmanship. Examples include: * Power outages * Electrical surges * Lightning * Breaker failure * Outlet failure * GFCI failure * Battery depletion * Battery failure * Mechanical wear * Motor failure * Float switch failure * Clogged pumps * Frozen discharge lines * Blocked discharge lines * Manufacturer defects * Improper homeowner modifications * Lack of maintenance HydroCore strongly recommends that homeowners with water-sensitive basements or crawl spaces consider appropriate backup protection, including backup pumps, battery systems, alarms, generators, or monitoring systems when appropriate. Unless specifically stated in writing, HydroCore does not guarantee uninterrupted operation of mechanical equipment during a power outage or mechanical failure. Manufacturer warranties may apply separately to pumps, dehumidifiers, alarms, batteries, and other equipment. --- # MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES Certain products installed by HydroCore may include warranties provided directly by the manufacturer. Manufacturer warranty terms are controlled by the manufacturer and may include their own: * Registration requirements * Maintenance requirements * Coverage periods * Parts limitations * Labor exclusions * Transferability rules * Claim procedures HydroCore cannot modify or extend a manufacturer's warranty unless specifically stated in writing. Manufacturer warranty coverage and HydroCore workmanship coverage are separate unless expressly combined in the customer's written agreement. --- # CRAWL SPACE ENCAPSULATION WARRANTY Where specifically included in the customer's agreement, HydroCore may warrant covered workmanship associated with the installation of crawl space encapsulation components. Coverage may include workmanship associated with: * Vapor barrier installation * Covered seams * Covered wall attachment * Covered pier installation * Specified drainage components * Specified dehumidification components * Other specifically listed installation work Coverage does not guarantee that the crawl space will remain completely free of moisture under every possible circumstance. Water may enter a structure from new plumbing leaks, groundwater changes, flooding, structural movement, roof drainage, exterior drainage, storm events, equipment failure, or other sources unrelated to HydroCore's original work. --- # WATERPROOFING & DRAINAGE WARRANTY When specifically warranted in writing, HydroCore may cover defects in the workmanship of the waterproofing or drainage system installed within the contracted scope. Coverage applies only to the area and system identified in the customer's agreement. A waterproofing warranty does not automatically cover: * Water entering from an untreated wall * Water entering from another portion of the foundation * Plumbing leaks * Sewer backups * Roof leaks * Window leaks * Door leaks * Exterior wall leaks * Floodwater * Surface water entering above the waterproofed area * Groundwater conditions exceeding the system's design * Structural movement * Foundation failure * Pump failure * Power failure * Drain blockage caused by foreign material * Changes made to grading or landscaping after completion Any extended waterproofing guarantee must be specifically stated in the homeowner's written warranty. --- # MOLD REMEDIATION WARRANTY Mold remediation addresses contamination present within the agreed treatment area at the time services are performed. Because mold growth requires moisture and mold spores naturally exist in the environment, **HydroCore cannot guarantee that mold will never occur again.** Future mold growth caused by new or continuing moisture is not considered a failure of the original remediation. Examples include: * Plumbing leaks * Roof leaks * HVAC condensation * High indoor humidity * Flooding * Groundwater intrusion * Appliance leaks * Sewer backups * Poor ventilation * Newly introduced moisture * Building envelope leaks * Failure to maintain dehumidification * Failure to correct an identified moisture source Where post-remediation verification or clearance testing is required, testing may need to be performed by a qualified independent party depending on the project and applicable requirements. --- # STRUCTURAL REPAIR WARRANTY When HydroCore performs joist, beam, sill, subfloor, support, or other structural repair work, warranty coverage is limited to the specific repairs identified in the contract. Unless specifically included in writing, HydroCore does not warrant unrelated structural components or guarantee against future: * Settlement * Foundation movement * Soil movement * Termite damage * Pest damage * Water intrusion * Rot * Plumbing damage * Hidden deterioration * Previously concealed damage * Overloading * Modification by another contractor * Structural changes made after completion Some structural work may require engineering, permitting, or additional evaluation depending on the property and scope. --- # CONDITIONS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY Unless specifically included in writing, HydroCore warranties do not cover damage or failure resulting from: * Flooding * Rising surface water * Natural disasters * Severe storms * Hurricanes * Tornadoes * Earthquakes * Lightning * Fire * Freeze events * Extreme weather * Acts of God * Power outages * Electrical failure * Electrical surges * Generator failure * Pump failure not caused by HydroCore workmanship * Battery failure * Frozen pipes * Burst pipes * Plumbing leaks * Sewer backups * Septic problems * Appliance leaks * HVAC leaks or condensation * Roof leaks * Window or door leaks * Pest activity * Termites * Rodents * Wildlife * Insects * Landscaping changes * Excavation by others * Changes to grade or drainage * Clogged gutters * Disconnected downspouts * Improper exterior drainage * Soil settlement * Foundation movement * Structural movement * Hidden defects * Pre-existing defects * Building-code deficiencies outside HydroCore's scope * Deterioration unrelated to HydroCore's work * Improper maintenance * Abuse * Neglect * Misuse * Vandalism * Accidents * Unauthorized modifications * Failure to follow HydroCore recommendations --- # WORK PERFORMED BY OTHER CONTRACTORS HydroCore cannot be responsible for work performed by another contractor, subcontractor, property owner, tenant, maintenance company, plumber, electrician, HVAC technician, pest-control company, landscaper, handyman, or other third party. Warranty coverage may be limited or voided when another party: * Removes HydroCore-installed materials * Cuts or penetrates vapor barriers * Moves drainage components * Modifies waterproofing * Alters structural repairs * Changes discharge piping * Moves pumps * Changes electrical connections * Modifies dehumidification systems * Drills through treated or waterproofed areas * Covers or conceals HydroCore's work * Damages installed materials * Performs repairs over or directly affecting HydroCore's work Having another contractor perform unrelated work does not automatically void the entire HydroCore warranty. However, HydroCore is not responsible for failures caused by or connected to modifications, damage, or interference by others. --- # OWNER-PERFORMED WORK The same limitations apply when the homeowner performs repairs, modifications, improvements, or maintenance that alters the covered system. Before modifying a HydroCore-installed system, customers are encouraged to contact HydroCore. --- # NEW WATER OR MOISTURE SOURCES A previously treated property can experience a completely new water event. Examples include: * A new plumbing leak * Failed water heater * Appliance leak * Roof damage * Failed flashing * Sewer backup * Foundation movement * New crack formation * Extreme groundwater * Drainage changes * Neighboring construction * Exterior grading changes * Storm damage A new source of water or moisture is not automatically considered a failure of HydroCore's previous work. --- # ACCESS TO WARRANTY AREAS The homeowner must provide reasonable access to covered areas for inspection and warranty service. HydroCore may not be responsible for costs associated with removing or replacing finishes or personal property installed after our work, including: * Flooring * Drywall * Cabinets * Shelving * Furniture * Storage * Decking * Landscaping * Walls * Tile * Trim * Built-ins * Personal belongings unless specifically agreed to in writing. --- # WARRANTY CLAIMS If you believe there is a warranty-related issue, contact HydroCore Restoration as soon as reasonably possible. Customers should provide: * Name * Property address * Telephone number * Email * Approximate project completion date * Description of the concern * When the problem was first observed * Photos or video when available HydroCore must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the condition before another company alters or repairs the affected area. Emergency action necessary to prevent immediate property damage is understandable; however, homeowners should document the condition with photographs or video whenever safely possible. --- # DO NOT DELAY REPORTING A PROBLEM Continuing to allow water, moisture, mold, structural damage, or other deterioration to occur after discovering a problem may increase the damage. Homeowners have a responsibility to take reasonable steps to protect the property from additional loss. HydroCore may not be responsible for damage that could reasonably have been prevented after the homeowner became aware of a problem. --- # WARRANTY REMEDY When HydroCore determines that a covered warranty condition resulted from defective HydroCore workmanship, HydroCore's obligation is generally limited to repairing, correcting, replacing, or otherwise addressing the covered portion of HydroCore's work. The specific remedy will depend upon: * Nature of the problem * Original scope * Warranty terms * Accessibility * Materials * Site conditions * Manufacturer requirements Unless specifically stated otherwise in writing, warranty coverage does not automatically include reimbursement for consequential or indirect losses such as: * Temporary housing * Hotel costs * Lost rental income * Lost business income * Lost use of the property * Personal property loss * Furniture damage * Storage expenses * Food loss * Moving expenses * Cosmetic upgrades * Betterments or improvements beyond the original work Any rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected. --- # WARRANTY TRANSFERABILITY Some HydroCore warranties may be transferable to a future homeowner, while others may apply only to the original contracting customer. If transferability is included, the specific requirements will be stated in the written warranty. Requirements may include: * Written notification of property sale * Property inspection * Transfer documentation * Continued maintenance compliance * Transfer within a specified period Never assume a warranty is transferable unless the written warranty specifically states that it is. --- # PROPERTY SALE If you plan to sell a property with HydroCore-installed waterproofing, encapsulation, drainage, remediation, or other covered systems, contact us before closing if you would like to determine whether your warranty may be transferred. --- # WARRANTY PERIOD Warranty periods vary by service and project. Your warranty period begins on the date identified in the written warranty, completion certificate, paid invoice, or service agreement. The customer's project documents—not the website—determine the actual warranty period. --- # PAYMENT REQUIREMENT Unless prohibited by applicable law or otherwise agreed in writing, warranty coverage may require that the customer's contractual payment obligations for the covered project have been satisfied. Disputed or incomplete work will be evaluated according to the customer's agreement and applicable law. --- # ROUTINE MAINTENANCE IS NOT WARRANTY WORK A warranty protects against eligible defects in covered work. It does not provide unlimited free maintenance. Examples of normal maintenance or service that may be billable include: * Filter replacement * Pump cleaning * Battery replacement * Drain cleaning * Dehumidifier maintenance * Cleaning vapor barriers * Pest-related repairs * Plumbing repairs * Electrical repairs * Exterior drainage improvements * Gutter or downspout maintenance * Repairs resulting from newly occurring damage --- # CONDITIONS MAY CHANGE OVER TIME Waterproofing, restoration, and moisture-management systems operate within a living structure and changing environment. Changes to any of the following can affect system performance: * Groundwater * Rainfall * Landscaping * Soil * Foundation movement * Home additions * Plumbing * HVAC * Roofing * Drainage * Electrical systems * Occupancy * Indoor humidity * Exterior construction * Neighboring property conditions HydroCore's warranty is therefore limited to covered work and does not constitute a guarantee against every future condition that may affect the property. --- # UNIQUE HOMEOWNER WARRANTIES HydroCore understands that no two properties are exactly alike. For that reason, **certain customers may receive warranty terms developed specifically for their home and project.** A customized homeowner warranty may provide different: * Coverage periods * Inspection requirements * Covered systems * Maintenance requirements * Transferability * Equipment coverage * Workmanship coverage * Service benefits * Limitations * Conditions These customized terms apply only when provided in writing by HydroCore Restoration. A warranty issued to one homeowner does not establish or imply the same coverage for another customer. --- # OUR COMMITMENT Our warranty program is built around one simple idea: **We want our customers to know that HydroCore will stand behind the work we agree to perform.** We also believe responsible warranty coverage requires partnership between the contractor and homeowner. HydroCore will maintain accountability for covered workmanship. Homeowners must maintain the property, protect installed systems, promptly report problems, complete required inspections, and avoid modifications that interfere with our work. That partnership gives our restoration and waterproofing systems the best opportunity to perform for years to come. --- ## IMPORTANT WARRANTY NOTICE This webpage is intended to provide a general overview of HydroCore Restoration's warranty practices and **is not itself a warranty contract or guarantee**. Warranty coverage, duration, exclusions, remedies, transferability, maintenance obligations, inspection requirements, and other conditions may vary by project. **The estimate, service agreement, warranty certificate, completion documentation, manufacturer warranty, and other written project-specific documents issued by HydroCore Restoration determine the actual warranty applicable to each homeowner.** If there is a conflict between information on this webpage and a customer's signed written agreement or warranty certificate, the written project-specific agreement controls, subject to applicable law. --- # QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR WARRANTY?
